NIGERIA: OGUN State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, on Monday joined fellow Muslims to pray and celebrate the Eid-el-Kabir at the Oke-Lantoro praying ground in Abeokuta, the state capital.

Rasheed Raji, Baba Adinni of Yorubaland, Alhaji Sarafa Ishola and the Chief Medical Director, Federal Medical Center (FMC), Abeokuta, Prof. Musa Olomu.
The Governor had prior in his message charged Muslims to pray for peaceful co-existence among Nigerians.
The governor in a news release signed by the Information and Strategy Commissioner, Otunba Adedayo Adeneye, charged them to look beyond the merriment of the period, but to focus more on praying for peace and harmony.
According to him, offering prayers will ensure the progress and development of the country.
“During this festival of feast, we should ensure that we truly imbibe the virtues of Prophet Ibrahim, who, in obedience to God’s directive, sacrificed his only son,” Amosun said.
He further charged: “Beyond the sacrifice, we should also not relent in praying for peace, unity and religious tolerance, which are essential to sustaining the glory of our dear nation.”
While wishing Muslims happy Eid-el-Kabir celebration, the governor prayed that God would accept their supplication and the sacrifices offered during the period.
